Yes. Meeting recordings and imported audio on iPhone and Windows can be transcribed into separate, timestamped speaker turns. This is called speaker diarization: it distinguishes voices rather than putting the conversation into one block of text. Windows quick dictation is a separate workflow for inserting your words into a text field, not a speaker-separated meeting transcript. Overlapping speech, noise and recording quality can affect the result; review speaker assignments before sharing.

Yes, using the Windows app. Select your microphone and the computer output used by the call, then start meeting capture. VoiceDrop captures your microphone and the audio you hear from Teams, Zoom or Google Meet, including through headphones. After you stop, the recording is transcribed with speaker separation and Smart Notes. VoiceDrop does not join as a meeting bot, require a Teams plug-in or automatically import participant names. Ask for participants’ agreement and follow your organization’s recording rules.

No. Speaker separation assigns labels to different voices; it is not identity verification. On iPhone, VoiceDrop can suggest names mentioned in introductions for you to review before applying them, and you can edit speaker names. Name suggestions are not guaranteed, and a Teams display name is not automatically matched to a voice.

Record in-person meetings, interviews, lectures and voice notes, including while your iPhone is locked. Import an audio file or share from Apple Voice Memos. VoiceDrop creates a transcript with timestamped speaker turns and Smart Notes, supports 57 languages with automatic detection, and notifies you when processing finishes. You can review suggested speaker names, copy or share results, and access saved transcripts from the web library. Capturing computer audio from a Teams call is a Windows feature, not an iPhone system-audio recording feature.

Smart Notes are AI-generated notes created after a meeting or imported recording is transcribed. They organize a summary, decisions and action items from the conversation. The transcript may become available before Smart Notes finish generating. Review notes against the transcript before relying on them or sharing them.

VoiceDrop is available for Windows 10/11 on 64-bit Intel/AMD PCs, as well as iPhone. Windows includes shortcut dictation, meeting capture with microphone and computer audio, and audio-file upload. A Mac app is coming soon; there is no confirmed release date. The web transcript library already works in your Mac browser.

Yes. Sign in with the same account to share your verified plan and allowance. Windows dictation, meetings, file uploads and iPhone transcription all count toward that allowance. Paid subscriptions are currently purchased and managed through the iPhone app.

Successful quick dictations are saved locally on your Windows PC, not in the shared web library. Meeting transcripts and uploaded recordings are saved to your account. A failed Windows recording can keep a local recovery copy until it is recovered or you delete it.

VoiceDrop AI supports 57 languages, including English, Norwegian, Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Chinese, Arabic, and many more. You can select your language manually or use auto-detect — the app will identify the language in your recording automatically.

Audio is sent securely to our speech-to-text provider for processing and is not kept in your VoiceDrop account after successful processing. If processing fails, the iOS app may keep a temporary recovery copy locally on your iPhone for up to 7 days so you can retry or save it. Your transcript, speaker segments, timestamps, and Smart Notes are saved to your account.

Open Voice Memos, tap the recording you want to transcribe, tap the Share button (the box with an arrow), and select VoiceDrop AI from the share sheet. The app will open automatically with your recording ready to transcribe.

Yes. You can cancel at any time directly from iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → VoiceDrop AI. Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period. There are no cancellation fees.

Once you reach your monthly transcription limit, you'll need to either upgrade to a higher plan or wait for your quota to reset at the start of the next billing period. Your existing transcripts are always accessible regardless of quota.

The main difference is the transcription quota and per-file limit. Pro gives you 1,200 minutes per 30-day usage period and supports files up to 60 minutes. Max gives you 2,400 minutes and supports files up to 120 minutes. Both include speaker separation, Smart Notes, 57 languages, in-app recording, file import, and web transcript access.

Not yet. VoiceDrop is available on iPhone and Windows. There is no Android release date to announce.
