What languages are supported?
VoiceDrop AI supports 57 languages, including English, Norwegian, Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Chinese, Arabic, and many more. You can select your language manually or use auto-detect — the app will identify the language in your recording automatically.
Is my audio stored after transcription?
No. Your audio is sent securely to OpenAI for transcription and is permanently deleted once the transcript is returned. VoiceDrop AI never stores your audio recordings. Only the text transcript is saved to your account.
How do I import from Apple Voice Memos?
Open Voice Memos, tap the recording you want to transcribe, tap the Share button (the box with an arrow), and select VoiceDrop AI from the share sheet. The app will open automatically with your recording ready to transcribe.
Can I cancel my subscription anytime?
Yes. You can cancel at any time directly from iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → VoiceDrop AI. Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period. There are no cancellation fees.
What happens when my monthly quota runs out?
Once you reach your monthly transcription limit, you'll need to either upgrade to a higher plan or wait for your quota to reset at the start of the next billing period. Your existing transcripts are always accessible regardless of quota.
What is the difference between Pro and Max?
The only difference is the monthly quota. Pro gives you 1,200 minutes per month, while Max gives you 2,400 minutes — double the amount. Both plans include the same features: AI-generated titles, 57 languages, in-app recording, file import, and priority processing.
Is there an Android version?
Not yet. VoiceDrop AI is currently available exclusively on iOS. Android support is something we're exploring for the future — stay tuned.
How accurate is the transcription?
VoiceDrop AI uses OpenAI's latest models (GPT-4o / Whisper) for transcription — widely regarded as the most accurate speech-to-text technology available. Accuracy depends on audio quality, background noise, and accent, but results are typically excellent for clear recordings.
How does the free plan work?
The free plan gives you 10 minutes of transcription per month, forever — no credit card required. Just download the app, create an account, and start transcribing. You can upgrade anytime.
